| smoke Have a friend who flipped his 1987 chevy truck on the passenger side, truck did not flip over but layed on its side for a couple hours. Truck is now blowing white/blue smoke from passenger side tail pipe, can anybody explain why truck being on its side is now causing this smoke, any thoughts? Thanks Marty |

| Oil is kept in the pan. When an engine is lated over on the side, oil is permitted to go places it should not be at. Eventually oil will find its way into the top end, and into the cylinders where it burns, and blue smoke is the result. Make sure that fluid levels are proper, and that th engines oil pump does not cavitate, or the engine will sieze. The blue smoke will go away after the engine is allowed to sit, and residual oil will burn off. Those of us that flop our trucks every now and then see this as often as we forget that the rubber side goes down. |

| pull the coil wire off so the truck doen't try to start and pull all the plugs out and turn the the motor over and you should see oil blowing out of the holes. and get new plugs and then start it up and let it run for about a half hour. i did the same thing to my s-10 ss and had to do that.

| we flip our derby cars over on the sides if we have to change tranny's or flywheels and when we rollem back over we letem sit for like a day to let the fluids drain back down just let it sit and change the plugs if you already ran it |
