95 Silverado Steel Brake Lines

I have a 95 Silverado. Just discovered that I need to replace the steel brake lines that lead to the rear drum brakes.

Do you have to drop the fuel tank to change these?? What size is the tubing for these lines?

Trying to decide can I do this or do I take it to the shop.

Thanks in advance!!!!

you better do it yourself a shop will cost you big. all it is time. just take your time and do one line at a time with making it look just like the factory one. all the bends in the same place. because if you just make all streight runs you will not have very good brakes and you could run the master cyl. dry when you hit the brakes but when the brakes are not applied it will be full. and as far as the lines they are 1/4 and 3/8 lines but you willl have to get under and see to make sure

They sell a soft brake line which is easier to bend (by hand) and works well. it comes in a coil like soft copper.
