Exclamation 98 K2500 A/C Compressor Question?

I have a 98 k2500, the a/c comp isnt kickin on, I have checked all fuses, checked relay, made sure all clips are in place, and hooked up, I have no voltage on the compressor clip, I can jump 12v to compressor, and she kick's on, but not on her own. Im trying to figure out where the 12v comes from and what causes the idle to kick up when the a/c is turned on... She dosent kick up, and compressor dosent engauge?????????I believe they are both related, but Im no A/C guy...

Thanks Cole

welcome to the forum
Try checking the pressure switch on the dryer, for power first, then jump it and see if the compressor kicks in
