| NO start Hi all i have a 2000 chevy s-10 v-6 it wont start unless you put starting fluid in it, has good pressure up to the motor, has new pump, filter, new injectors kit, computer, is there a sensor that tells the injector to spray gas besides the computer , someone told me there one in distributor that fires the injectors , the book doesnt say nothing on it , is it true any help would be good , thamks Rick D. |

| Your problem could be a weak spark or a defective temperature sensor. Have you checked it for error codes? |

| spark is good no codes , it did give a code a while back on coolant temp sensor but does not gve a code for it now |

| would deff change cololant temp sensor could possibly be it, If the ECM reads it as no TEMP it won't start because it would think its getting hott

| with any no start condition check for spark, check for gas at plugs then go from there. |

| replaced it (coolant temp sensor) still nothing, yes has spark, will start and run if you spray gas in throttle body will idle till you stop spaying fuel.. |

| put it on a scanner, sounds like something is weak but not setting a code, did you replace the sensor for the ecm not the guage one?

| This may sound dumb but I have had this happen 4 or 5 times over the years. And that is the ignition switch. The contacts may have come out of adjustment and it will allow it to turn over but not start. I have had this happen in a Chevy, Ford, and a Dodge of all different years models. It may be worth the check. Hammer |
