 | '91 k2500 truck slows itself down under throttle.. help!! Hello, this is my first post, I have been dealing with this problem for 3 weeks now. I have a 1991 K2500 chevy truck. 350 TBI engine. I drive down the road at a constant speed and it slows down, same if I give it more gas. I pulled a code 32 EGR and found my EGR valve was bad, I replaced it and it does the same thing but worse it also races at idle. This truck will slow from 50mph to 35mph before it returns to normal again and it does it at random, but very often and sometmes constantly. I have some performance mods, but nothing major they have been with the truck for about a year or so, it has been acting up recently. What should I look at next? Please help this is driving me nuts and its probably something stupid.  |

| 4l80e no, the truck has a 4L80E transmission, it isn't into overdrive, what would that indicate? |

| Put it on a good scanner, not a code reader and evaluate the results

| if its not kicking into over dr ive it may indicate that it s trying to if you put it in OD and that could be the problem try driving in normal drive

| a 91' with a 4L80E? that doesn't sound right.

| I agree 4l80e doesn't sound right maybe someone jerry rigged that trans on the truck that's why somethings wrong. Get back to us on that trans size. |

| true i'll look into it more with a scan tool to see what I can find. 1991 is the first year for the 4L80E as an option in the 2500 and 3500. other options were 700R4 and TH400. |

| Sounds like a vacuum leak to me. Good idea to scan though. |
