the time has come

finally go thte motivation to start back up on my 87 c10. i spent most of my night getting the passenger side rear to the desired hight. right now its just a mock up but i think it will look pretty good. this is the hight it will be when aired up. i took all the leafs out to get it this way. over the winter i am ordering a full airbag setup that completly bolts on using the existing holes in the frame. i cleaned up the mag wheels ALOT. and took the rest of the molding off. as you can see i found some new rust. i will have more pics tomorrow when i finish the other side. at the bomper it droped it 5 inches and it didnt even settle yet.

im getting it from ride tech(aka air ride technologies). it is a complet bolt on triangulated 4 link. monster c notch. and im gonna get the high lift bags and 1/2 valves and hoses. the front is gonna be new control arms top and bottom and 2 inch drop spindles along with the same bags. if you look at my avatar that is what it will look like slammed. it says i can lay frame on 20s but i wanna keep the front inner fenders so i might do a 18 up front and 20 in the rear. i also wanna be able to do to the drag strip so i migth just do a hole custom frame so i dont have to body drop it. and ill have a roll cage built into that. i dunno only time will tell at this point. i got a new job makin alot more money so my plans are back on track.

Be careful driving it with only a few springs, Axle wrap can destroy it quickly if you dont have enough spings to help counter it.

right now there isnt a need to work on the jimmy. i am getting toyo a/t for it and then it is done for now. the wife shot me down on lifting it so yesterday i wanted to see what the rims from the c10 would look like on it. they didnt fit of course and the rims off the jimmy wouldnt fit the c10 even thought there universay 5 lugs but anyway. after takin off the rear rims on the c10 i just started taking everything apart lol. then went nside and ordered the air ride.right now it is sitting on the bump stops so today i think im gonna drill the rivits out of everything and have it lay frame. the just in case money that i had been saving up turned into toy money when i found out i start at a buddys work makin a/c units starting out at 18$ an hour + benifites. but for now i am jsut gonna get everything apart and ready for the swap. i cant wait to be able to hop in my driveway. to bad thats where it will sit till i get the motor done. for some reason i really dont feel like wiring hte rats nest back up.
