Place duct tape over it that should help.

this reminded me of a car i sold someone. a week or two afterwards, he called me up complaning that the wiper motor wasnt working. and you want me to do what?? he changed the grommet out on the cowling and held it in his hand to verify that it still worked. when it didnt come on, he called. the motor grounds to the firewall dude. bolt it up and see what happens. OH YEAH!! there it goes. it happens to us all.

Since that was so easy to fix, maybe you have the dome light kill button by the headlight switch activated too.
