 | ABS & Red brake light both on???? Hi Guys,  I have a small problem, the red brake light and ABS light are both on, I checked for codes and all I get is a code 12 which I believe means all clear, so I disconnected my neg. battery cable just to be sure, reconnected and both are still on. I checked the parking brake switch be pressing down and releasing and the red brake light got brighter when the parking brake was released, so I assume the the parking brake light is working and that is not the problem. Anyone have any suggestions, cause I have run out???? Many Thanks, Frank aka crazyhorse357 This is on my 93 ChevyG20 van, 4.3 V-6 engine

 | doing a check like what you have done will not pull ABS codes. sorry bubba. have to take it somewhere for that. might be a broken switch that tells the light to go on and off. |

| Do a search of the forum (not the thread) and look for "brake warning light", posted by Mark D. It will tell you there how to pull any error codes. At least you have eliminated the parking brake. You can also eliminate the pressure differential switch (below the master cylinder with a single wire connector) by un plugging it and see if the red light goes out. Good luck |
