1990 k1500 lift kit

i have been looking around at all the different types of kits for my truck, i think i have decieded to go with torsion bar crank, and a 3" body lift. the only trouble that i am noticing is that they say for the body lift the transmission shifter rod has to be extended by welding the extender. i dont have a welder. is there anyone that has any ideas on another way of securing that extender?

thanks

I take it you have a manual trans? you could get a new knob threaded on that is long, like a pistol grip or something...or make one

it says it on the instuctions that it needs to be welded. it says it on the 2" and 3" lifts, i am getting the 3. so it worked with no problems? did the kit include an extender that you just didnt use?

You can prolly take your rod somewhere to get it welded wont cost much just a few striks and DOnt take my word it worked for mine just do wat you want also make sure you get your tranny rod lined up so your rev. lights work and all that
