Angry Recent poor mileage with the Oil reserves tapped into.

The last time my wife and I filled up our truck and car the mileage when to...****. I usually get 18-21 mpg in the truck, but I'm getting 12 at best! Does anyone else have this problem lately? Anyone know why exactly?

what year model truck is this?? might be partly because of the summer mixture of gasoline. might be time to a tuneup as well.

i doubt u need new plugs or wires. usually those last up to 150,000 miles (in the newer gms)

i would try some fuel treatments and changing the fuel filter. check some other stuff like the air filter, pcv valve, and make sure your wires are pluged in to the mass air flow sensor and check other parts for loose conections.

but why would both vehicles mileage be affected at the same time? all that you said would make sense if it was just one car, but it was both at the same time.

check the pump when you buy fuel, heavy ethynol mix is hard on the fuel economy. Do you have the flex fuel engine? its supposed to adjust for it
