 | Check Engine Light Got a 91 fuel injected 350 in a 1984 Chevy 4wd. Did the swap in 93" and never had any problems. When I rebuilt the engine this year I added a set of shorty headers. Now I get an intermittant check engine lite. The code it throws is the egr valve. EGR valve is good. I remember reading something about back pressure required to open the EGR valve. Anybody with any ideas? |

 | did you replace the egr when you rebuilt it? is it one of the cheap autozone egrs withthe washer you have to put in to make it run right? you may have to change the washer because of the headers... are you running full exhaust cats mufflers? anything? |

| Replaced the egr when it first threw the code. Exhaust is stock from the headers back. |

| it may have some carbon build up in it try some sea foam treatment... just do a google seach on it and youll be impressed withthe results |
