| Door Handles Has anyone here shaved the existing door handles off of a c10 and installed a set off of a 88 and up c1500? Me and a buddy of mine thought about this and was wandering if anyone has done this? I'm also working on a set of exhaust tips that are about 2" tall and about 8" long flat oval shape backcut on a 45deg exiting just in front of the back tires. Here's a couple pic's from my 3d model I've done for that. I've already got 1 built and am in the process of building the other.

| Maybe if you look on You-Tube you might find some info about the doors, and about exhaust tips I have a set from a car that would look good if I were to cut out a piece of my running boards I was thinking of placing them in front of the back tire's BUT I don't want to make such a sharp bend that it might restrict my exhaust and cut back on my HP so im leaving it alone but like I said I have thought about it. Some ford lighting trucks came out with them from the factory. |

| The door handle idea will be easy as finding a donor truck for the handle pockets. The exhaust tips I have seen before and it is great that you want to make them yourself. If It was me I would leave the door handles shaved and install remote poppers. I have also went suicide with the doors... |

| Well my exhaust is not restrictive at all the way mines setup I am running straight pipe from the headers to the mufflers then 45 then out you can't get any less restrictive then that. As far as the fabrication goes I've worked sheetmetal fabrication in the marine industry for 10 years so I have access to all the materials and the only thing that might take a little time is to weld them up, but I've got plenty of that. Besides it only took my about 2 hrs to completly finish 1 of them. The reason I thought about the door handels is because I have 2 doors that I changed out from my 91 z71 that I got rid of and I also thought about those remote poppers but I've got enough electronics going into this truck.

| The tips I have if I were to do it are from a Pontiac SST or GT one of those cars that are cut at an angle and don't rust so placing them on the side would look perfect. eBay Motors: '97 and newer Grand Prix aluminum exhaust tips (item 170269383222 end time Oct-12-08 12:00:40 PDT) eBay Motors: 1970 Mustang Mach1 Stainless Steel Exhaust Tips Mach 1 (item 250304695361 end time Oct-12-08 18:24:50 PDT) eBay Motors: 1968-1972 442 EXHAUST TIPS STAINLESS STEEL (item 170269674457 end time Oct-11-08 11:42:17 PDT) eBay Motors: EXHAUST TIPS IMCO MARINE (item 120314573548 end time Oct-13-08 10:36:24 PDT) Might like this set up. |

| Thanks gmctucks but I've already got 1 built and in the process of getting my other 1 finished. I built them out of 14ga galvanized steel sheetmetal. I'm trying to get in touch with my old apprentaceship teacher at the jr college to get him to make me some out of 16ga 304 show quality stainless. With the tools they have up there it'll only take them a couple of hours to make them then all I have to do is weld them and polish them. Another friend of mine whos taking classes at MSU is using there Ricardo Wave program to design some baffeling's that would decrease the sound enough so maybe I could eliminate the mufflers all together.

| Another thing that may occure is when I first lowered my dullay the stock exhaust faced out behind the rt rear in stock configuration. with the 5" suspention drop it brought the exhaust to close the the sheet metal destroying the paint. Fortionetly in my case the dealer that lower the truck for me repaired the paint and put a turn down tip to the exhaust. Just something to keep in mind |
