Uplostry Fabric

Does anyone know where I can get some tweed upholstry fabric and foam pretty cheap? The guy we bought Frankenstien from used to do upholstry work and covered about 85% of the interior with a dark blue. The only thing left is the passanger side door panel and sun visor, so I'm trying to find some so I can finish my truck.

I bought some once from a local fabric shop when I did my headliner on my Firebird and instead of foam padded material I used vinyl every body liked how it came out.

you need to bring a sample of it to walmart or a fabric store.. but the foam can be purchased at walmart for sure.... i got mine there for the dash. dont ask me hy but i used it underneath fiberglass to mold my dash and it didtn turn out to good... it fell right off when i went to put it in.... trial and error.. the story of my life

Well the reason I need the foam is because my entire interior has imbosed flames and I don't particularly like the purple he used on the metal parts of the dash. Here's a few pics of what I'm talking about. They look alot better now these pics were taken right after I drug the truck literaly out of the woods after my dad gave it to me after setting back there for almost 2 years with brush about 5' high grown all around it.

The guy we got the truck from planned to paint the truck yellow but I have no idea what the heck he was thinking with the purple. My wife likes it but it's not her truck. I already have the paint I'm planning on using until I can get alittle money to get the color I want. The paint I have already is not going to match anything on this truck it's a dark burgandy with silver metalflake. A friend of mine suggested that since they named the truck Frankenstien that I should redo the interior with green's and browns and paint the outside with the same theme.

Good point I didn't think about that, but that yellow still has to go. I'll just have to make some decisions when I get a little extra money to spend on it. A friend of mine knows a guy with a small waterjet machine that I can get some custom emblems gut out of stainless to go with it.

Yea now the only thing I have to do is design an emblem in autocad so he can program his machine. That's not going to be too hard since I work with it all day, 3d models are nice when you get ideas and are unsure about how they'll turn out. Being in engineering and design has its perks.
