| OK I AM NUTTTS ! How hard is it to install after market stero and speakers because the right front spreaker dosent work and the rest sound ok but not great. MY 19 tear old tells me that it sucks and needs a cd player, although this might keep her out of it but it hasent so far. P.S. I THINK I STILL DID THIS WITH THE BUTTONS IF YOU LOOK CLOSE YOU CAN SEE ALL THE LITTLE WORDS THAT DON'T LIGHT UP. AND NO IM NOT SMOKING CRACK ! MY DAUGHTER IS STILL LAUGHING AT ME !! |

| Ok it's really simple to install a cd player go to best buy or meijers or walmart whatever your prefernce is and buy the wiring adapter for your 94 then buy the dash adpter kit all it is is where your tape deck is right now with the 2 vents above it it's just a replacement piece just take the old one out and I think there's only 2 5/16 screws holding it in. Behind there you follow the wires down under the dash by the gas pedal where it'll plug into another black box. Well unplug that to remove the tape deck and then back up top where where the tape deck used to reside look back in there about 6" or so and you'll see 3 wiring harnesses plugged into the top of the box that you just unplugged the tape deck from. Unplug those three wiring harnesses and plug them into the aftermarket wiring harness. Then after that it's just a matter of matching colors from the aftermarket harness to the wires on the back of the aftermarket cd player. Trust me it's easier then it sounds once you get the tape deck out and look back in there it all becomes clear what needs to be done. That's it for the cd player. Now the right front speaker is up there in a tight spot by the windshield I believe the speaker cover is just a snaplock cover a flathead screwdriver is all you need to remove it. Then a ratchet and a 1/4" socket and the approriate sized phillip screwdriver bit or it may be a 5/16" or 1/4" bit I'm not sure is all you you need from there. I'm not 100% on the size of the speakers though I think they're 5"x7" or something along those lines. If you replace one you should replace the other as speakers are sold in pairs. I'd recommend pioneer components their good quality for a reasonable price and their backed by a 1 year factory warrenty! That's about it if you have any questions just ask! Good luck!!! |

| the front speakers in the dash are 3.5 or 4 inches round... the largest ones you can fit inthere are 4.5 with a little cutting... i would ditch these speakers and put some in your doors and then get pods and mount them in the dash... youll get great mids and highs from the dash and some decent bass from the door speakers... fairly easy to wire up with basic tools and a sawzal to cut a hole in the door... jsut make sure you make it low enough so the window will still go down.... the first time i did something like that i didnt check the window and had to buy a new set of doors for the guy... lmao i guess thats what you learn from trial and error |

| OK just fyi the town i live in had a plant called potter and brumfiEld where they made relays for auto parts and radios in 1988-91-92 gm put the wrong radios in these models they have a bose radio that went in there top of the line auto like the vet, some of the guys that worked there in the machine shop found out that there was a way to open this option. So without you all thinking i am nuuuts one of the fellows was in my shop said he has the info written down as soon as he gets it to me i am gonna post it. In close before u laugh me off this page just give me a few more days and we will see what happens. I just finished putting a aftermarket radio cd in my truck only had one screaming cussing fit and my 14 year old had to help at the end it works but i didn't find out the radio we bought is to long by a half inch but it works until i find another

| Umm, I'm pretty sure the dash speakers are 4x6. At least, they are on my GMC, which is technically the same series as his.
