| You can get about 3" using Ford torsion bar keys on front from a 96-2000 F-150 4X4 and 3" blocks on the rear easily clearing 33"X12.50's. We did it with a friend of mines 95 Z71 and it only took us 1 day to do it. You are capable of getting more lift with these bars by tightening them all the way down but you'll have to cut out the bump stops on front.

| Yeah thats what I was gonna tell him! I crank the torsion bars on my Z71 and got 2" and then through some 2" blocks on the rear axle! And I'm clearing 33-10.50s I just don't have alotta flex so if I hit a big bump while turnin I get a small rub but other than that yeah torsion bars and block= cheap lift! P.S. what exaclty are Torsion Keys are they the bars themselves? |

| nah they are at the opposite end of the control arm on the bar.. they are what the bolt you turned pushes up agaainst... if you got some witha different cut in them you could get more lift |

| OOOHHH I see rite on! So what would be a good set of keys to install on my Z71 because I want SAS but can't afford it rite now but I have beautiful 35s BFG mud terrains sitting in my garage but I can't clear em with what I've got. |

| why buy or mess with the keys you have now when you can wait and apply that money to your SAS?? depending on what those tires of yours look like, i might be interested to have another set for mine. that way, they wont keep staring at you and you can keep your eye on the prize. |

| True very true there in fairly good shape but the fact that I have now means I won't have to buy them later! sorry but I take the staring for now! Plus the only reason why I asked was because my buddie up here own a salavge yard and I can get anything I need so I wasn't sure if I could get like 3/4 ton keys or something like that! But I'll probably just talk to him about some axles instead of keys! I'd love to get my hands on some danas but haha I'll keep dreaming for now! |

| The Ford keys are all you need. They're clocked different from the gm green keys. Believe me the ford keys will get you all the height you can get out of a stock front end. We tightend them all the way down on my buddies Z71 and actually had to back off of them because it put the drive axles at too sttep of an angle causing then to pop. Even after backing off it still set up higher than with the gm white keys cranked all the way down.
