Chevy diesel 3500 HD wont move

Hello I just had a problem with my chevy 3500 HD tow truck. I was driving on the hightway and suddenly it lost the drive on a hill, the engine now revs freely and so does the truck. No broken cardan.
I suspect something inside the clutch might be broken. Is there a possibility of the axle that goes from the gearbox to the center of the flyweel be broken? Or some gear on the gearbox?
I've noticed last time I worke changing the clutcch that there were only two bolts holding the bell to the block, maybe it separated and the cluch cant do its job?

Please help.thanks

sounds like a good time to look at the clutch itself.

Sounds like the center of the friction disc sheared off.
