a 92 i believe only has the o2 sensor on or close to your manifold which is before your converter.there shouldnt be any problems until its time for your inspection. it wont pass.

it will depend on how free flowing the new system is, You need a certain amount of back pressure to make the o2 work correctly, that and inspection is why people cut behind the cat

Correct on oxygen sensor and I agree with everything else, for what it`s worth.

I have the same truck and I have no cat just a broken glasspack and 3" strait exhaust with a 90d turn and a turndown behind the rear tire and the O2 sensor works fine I just get super sh**ty gas mileage! I've also ran just the ypipe no mufflers or anything and then the mileage really suffered and the truck ran like sh*t so back pressure isn't a real big deal on this truck but you do need some! Putting a dual chamber muffler on will give you more then enough back pressure plus I'm not sure what it's like in Miss. but I got $70 for my cat at the local steel recycling yard so don't just throw it away it may be worth some money!!

A cheap fix that'll help with the o2 sensor is an extender on the 02 to remove it from the direct exhaust flow. I have an 89 tbi 350 in Frankenstien with headers, 2.5" dual exhaust and Cherry Bomb glasspacks. We spaced my o2 bung using a 1/2" spacer between it and the header and it works great. I havn't had a problem with mine running rich at all since I got it running. What part of MS are you from?

my 91 that i had had no cat but a dual in single out flowmaster muffler. turndown between the cab and the bed. never had a problem with the o2 sensor and got about 15 to 16 out of the gas.
