I need some interchange help please

Hey, I am trying to find out what kind of mods would be required to either swap out just the tranny or would it be easier to swap out the entire drivetrain from the 2002 silverado I picked up. They are both 1/2 tons and and 4x4 but I am not sure what kind of electrical or design differences there might be?
Any assistance would be more than appreciated. Thanks!

if its just a a simple tranny swap then as long as you have the same gen everything is the same... im confused about what you are trying to do

welcome to the forum......Its hard to advise with out enough info. Is it a ford and chevy? 98 and 2002, v6 and 454? i'm sure you can get advice if you give more facts

Ok, sorry fellas. They are both half ton small block chevy's truck 1 is a 99 Suburban with a bad 4L60E and I have recently aquired a 2002 Siverado half ton and am wondering what the interchange issues might be.
I am just not sure if there are electrical or solenoid differences between them.

im sure there are some differences but not in the tranny... the driveline should be the same as long as there the same motors... why not get both running good.. is the 02 totalled?
