Northern MN Newbie

Hey everybody, I am new to this site. I am from Northern Minnesota, and yes we did get snow this week! I actually saw some piled up in the ditches south of town where I live.

Anyway, I have a ''''98 S10 ZR2 (Sorry, not a Blazer) and I think it''''s great. I am just joining up here to have as many vehicle-related connections as possible.

So far on my truck (4.3L v6) I have done the following Mods:
HID Headlights
New Panasonic CD Player
Racing Style Seats (More of a novelty than anything)
High Flow Intake Kit (K&N)
Aftermarket Tail Lights
New ZR2 Stickers

and a lot of maintenance!

For the most part I am going to keep it stock, but I would still like to put a better looking/sounding exhaust on it, but nothing very loud.

Also, a little about my business ventures - I run a small business called Street Solutions with my partner and we specialize in custom metal fabrication and automotive electrical accessories. I handle the business side and the 12v stuff.

I have a few HID products that I will be selling here also, so please look out for those!

Thanks for letting me be a part of your community. Here is a pic of my truck:

That is my car back there too - 1985 Pontiac Fiero

that only really depends on the police officer that decides to pull you over. they will normally let it go, unless you have them aimed right in their eyes. OR, the vehicle looks like it coulc have come with them from the factory. the best ones I have found are the PIAA hyperwhite ones that are "mock" HID, but maitnain OEM color... they will always be left go. But all that aside, they look cool on the S10, welcome to the forum bud.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Yes, the Fiero can be a pain in the rear to work on, but when it's running/driving right (Not too often for a car that old) then it is a total blast to drive around.

As far as the HIDs are concerned - I've found that there are really only 3 instances where anyone really gets any flak from the Police about their lights:
1. Super-blue or purple colored - attracts a lot of attention
2. Aimed too high - Get pulled over for driving with your brights on. I always adjust peoples' headlights down a tad after doing HIDs.
3. Driving like an idiot - if the cop can tell that you have aftermarket headlights, its a good reason to pull someone over that is driving dumb.

Again, thanks for the warm welcome! I tried to post my HID kit in the classifieds that I have for sale and it didn't work. Maybe soon.

I think classified ads must be approved first! But in any case I have a 92 Z71 can I and how much would it cost to get an HID kit for my truck?

Are they the legitimate HID lights with the seperate relay box and wiring? Assuming that they atre still the 9006 bulbs, how much do you want for the kits? How much did you pay for them originally?
