i've got a 99 silverado with 103,000 on it. bought it 1 1/2 yrs ago with 61,000 and all i've had go wrong with it is the washer pump and just last month the starter went **** up. all in all i hope i can get another easy 100,000 out of her before anything major like tranny. very pleased with the power of my first chevy. compared to any of the fords i've owned.

Had a 97 with the 350. 130,000 when I sold it. Changed the alternator at about 115,000. That was it.

Am I missing something here. If the truck has 93k then how did the trans get done at 120,000 (scratches head)

I have 1 993 3/4 ton 4x4 with 135,000. Trans rebuilt at 90,000 but I tow an awful lot. Motor is strong. My dad has a 1993 z71 1/2 ton with around 240,000/ origional motor and trans. i can tell its weak, but he just pulled a 21 foot travel trailer to minnesota from Oklahoma and had no trouble. I dont hink it will do that too many more times before I have to go thru it.

k had to bring this thread back up cuz i have an 86' Chevy Silverado with 143,000 miles (with a 305) runs great, and i'm not gunna lie, i do drive her pretty hard, that is when i have the gas for it. I bought it from an older fella who used it to pull his little trailer, the only things i've done to it is a new power steering pump and a new distributor
