Abs light

I just replaced my front wheel hub assemblies with two brand new ones. And now my ABS light won't go off. Any suggestions........

whcih vehicle you workin on? were the hubs replaced for bearing problems? make sure everythings connected, to verify a signal from the sensors unplug them and connect a voltmeter on two wires in the plug and spin your hub and see if it generates a voltage....

can tell you more if we know what vehicle/make/model/year that sorta stuff (:

Hello Thanks for the reply. The thruck is a 2001 Silverado extra cab with a 4.8.2wd. Yes the front bearing hubs were bad, but I had no lights prior to replacing them. I know It's not the module since it has been replaced within the last six months.

possible ya could of got some grease or some sort of debris in it to cause the sensor to not be able to sense what is going on. just a thought

are you sure the plugs are connected all the way and you did not bend a pin?

computer may just need to complete a few drive cycles to clear the code.
if it stays on for a day or so then you will need to take it to a shop to have the code read.

make sure when you put the hub assembly on everything is good and tight... a bad vibration will cause that light to come on
