| i have a 94 chevy 1500 with a 4.3.when its cold it starts and runs fine for about 4 mins.then it dies and wont start just cranks all day.once its cold again it starts and does the same thing.no check engine light either.what could this be????? |

| change your temp control sensor.. it will keep doing this unill you do... once the engine gets up to operating temp it thinks its overheating so it atomatically shuts the engine down.. kinda a safty feature but also a major pita |

| thanks,someone else metioned the temp sensor too but the parts store does not list one for the truck.do you know where it would be on the engine? |

| autozone shows 2 for your truck.. one is the coolant temp sensor and is right near the gooseneck on the right side of the engine and the other is a temp switch that i cant seem to figure out where it is... but even inthe discription of the coolant temp sensor it mentions it sends a signal to the ecm... so that is your culpret... here it isso you can find it easier ![]() and if your lucky enoguh to havge an autozone near you its part number SU109... looks like i did all your homework for you lol |

| isnt the temp switch on the drivers side of the block about half way back?? |

| yeah i think it is... right by the manifold onthe side of the head... its only a single wire plug |

| cool least you got her fixed.. what blazer do you have? a few of the guys on here have blazers that could help you out with some stuff.. me i have a jimmy so i am one of them.. what are the mods or fixes you have to do to it? |
