Talking Stupid Question #2 - Will these wheels fit?

Here I am... sitting in Afghanistan bored out of my mind. My mother (who currently has my truck) informs me that I need new tires. I don't want to buy new tires until I get new rims. This means I will probably be ordering the wheels online, to have delivered to her, so she can go buy tires and have it all put together. I'll be doing all of this for the most part, sight unseen.

I found some wheels that interest me, but I don't even know if they would fit my truck. Offset, rear spacing? This is greek to me. I understand inches and lug pattern lol Is there a way to find this info, without me physically looking at/on my truck? Is it standard to model/year?

Sooooooo... I want your input and even suggestions if you know a wheel that would look good! My truck is a 1994 C1500 Reg cab, stepside. The little stock photo of one looks just like it, same color and all. My truck is all stock except for the current wheels and a roll pan. The other thumbnail is of the wheel I like. It is an American Racing Chamber Series 1085. The only place I have found it online is Jegs, but it lists several options, and I want to be 100% sure it would fit. I would like to go with a 16 or 17 inch instead of the 15 that is standard to my truck.

Help save my sanity! Talk to me people... I want my truck to be ready to go when I get home!!!

Those are discontinued rims. I wanted them for my truck as well, so if you can seriously find them, buy them.... I think they look sharp.

The back spacing is the measurement from the center of the hub to the rear side of the wheels, basically what covers the brakes. Most aftermarket rims will not be rearly as much as stock since stock usually runs 6-7 inches and aftermarket rims are more like 3-4 inches. They will still work. The offest is the outer lip. Some guys like the rim flat like on most ricers, other like the term "deep Dish".... those rims are a balance of both. That number is also a reflection of the backspacing. The smaller the back spacing, the larger the offest, make sense?

Basically here is the low down, IF the bolt pattern matches your ride, you will be fine. Rims might stick out a tiny bit more then factory, but no harm done there. And sinc those rims are no longer being made, I would jump on them in fear they will disapear.

Hope that helps, and good luck abroad, we all appreciate the sacfafices y'all make for us everyday.

tell her to put tires on it, and when you get home sell them and put what you want on it. It would be easiest and that way you can be happy with the results
stay safe and always look twice!

They are made and distributed by American Racing INC..... and American Racing has discontinued them all together. Jeggs may have a surplus left over and are still selling them. There is an NTB down the road actually has a whole set they are selling too, but they do not fit my ride. And I went onto Jeggs website and searched last night myself, and they are out of stock for my size. I sent an email but I am not expecting them to carry them anymore. If you go to american racing's website, it can confirm what I mean. And part of why I say, IF you like them, AND you can get them, I say do it.... even if they never end up on the truck, and you change your mind when you get home and decide you do not like them, you may be able to turn a small profit on eBay.... just a thought.

and on a side note, They did not just discontinue them, they replaced them with a similar wheel, less contours, but ALL black instead of the two tone, painted and chrome look. I have seen both in person and I prefer the one you posted, TEN times better.

So... before I send my mom to the local mech to ask about lug pattern, any idea if it's standard to the year/make/model? I don't remember mine, but I am not gonna send my mom chasing info if I can get it online lol

unless you have swapped out the axles, match the year make and model and you will be fine. ALL silverados were the same from like 1980 till 2006 if I remember correctly.....
