Question Addition to "'93 won't start"

Okay, when I do get the thing started it idles like a Chevy then smooths out and idles fine. When I take off, clutch in, 2nd engaged let clutch out, a little gas and then...she bucks and snorts. Push clutch in again a little gas an it stops...still coasting along I let the clutch out again and she does the same thing....****! It will do this unless I cob it in gear. What could be the prob here? Thanks again, Walt

When you take the starter in to be checked, pick up the parts and do a good tuneup

And maybe a fuel filter to I had and 85 blazer that every once and a while she would start chugging and slamming and eventually die right out happened to me in the middle of a 7 lane intersection turning left. It was a carburated motor and turns out the little paper filter inside the carb was plugged to the point that the pressure points behind my ears popped when I tried to blow the excess gas out!

Hay all! Thanks for the reply's!!! I have a set of new wires and plugs all gapped up and ready to be installed. Also, this truck was a farm truck and between '93 and '02 he drove 99K (9K a year) and has only put 7K on it since 2002 so it's sat a long time. After I gave the previous owner the cash for it I stopped by Carquest and bought the 200 dollar tune-up: Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, belt, fuel filter, air filter, antifreeze, wiper fluid, blinker fluid, compressed air, battery, oil and filter.

Do you think I need an oxygen sensor?

I've replaced all but the plugs and wires...and the main reason I bought them in the first place is because they are the original wires on the truck. Hope you're right and that solves the stumbling problem!

What will really bake your noodles is the 4 yards of dirt I scraped off the frame, underside frontend, x-members and out of the spare tire when I lowered it...not to mention the 3 mice that hopped down and ran into my garage!!!

Really, thanks for all the help!

Hope you all have your family and friends near you for Thanksgiving! Take care, Walt
