Exclamation Need some Chevy truck advice

I'm a student looking for a cheap realiable truck. I found a 2000 Chevy Blazer with 138 000 km for $4500. It seems to be in good shape. On top of it, I can purchase a 2 year, unlimited km warranty that covers the engine, transmission, trasnfer case and front and rear ends. Should I even bother going for the truck? I have read alot of bad reviews about blazers. So I thought Id come to where I could get an honest opinion. Even if they are prone to breaking, the warranty seems to be solid.

honestly i cant complain about my 00 jimmy.. its assentially the same truck but different badging... they are great little trucks if you ask me... i have had mine since march and it really hasent givin me to many problems... besides general maintance and a bug that i had to work out i am very pleased... but time will tell how it drives in the snow... i think it woul be good for you since your in college and assuming you have a bunch o stuff to take around and do a little partying now and then... having 4 decent seats kinda makes you the dd but that can have its fun... an for the price with the warranty that isnt to bad... i bought mine for 1800 but had to put a new motor in it and i got i from a close friend o fthe family that owns a dealership... i was his mechanic for awhile untill he got out o it... buthe was going to ask 6000 for it after e had the engine put in... and it had 110000 on it so you should be good with that truck or one like it

It's through a second hand dealer. The guy seems legit. I just don't know if blazers are a good truck or not.

Ya I live in Canada so truck prices are WAY higher. And we go by km so 138 000 km would only be around 85 000 miles. So you guys think it would be alright? I was always told that the Jimmy's/Blazers are junk but I think they seem to be a nice truck.

Think about what the truck is costing you plus the warranty maybe you can find a newer one PLUS how many miles is that maybe that's what is making think this way I say that it's a good truck and a warranty is a good idea my dad bought one for his new truck and it has paid for it-self many times oh it might be that it's a FORD. Also see what your deductible is going to be when you take it in for work and I think thats per item find out.
Good luck! GMC

I don't like second hand dealers I know here in Houston there crooks watch it call the BBB and see what record they have. Have you looked in the local paper might find something from a private owner also have them run a car-fax at there expense or you run one make sure they don't remove anything from report here 80% of the miles are turned back at used car dealers they did a report on them.
Watch it! GMC
