help with 4 wheel drive not locking in

i have a 89 chevy scottsdale 4x4 truck and i replaced the actuater because it was blowing fuses and now it wont lock in any ideas

somebody was mentioning earlier about different actuators? somthing about their length or something...

so it doesn`t blow fuses now?

welcome to the forum
check the power Thru the transfer case and out to the thermal resister. You may have had a shorted wire and when you disturbed it it quit blowing fuses

when i replaced the actuater it had bear wire that was touching the hog head , so i installed new actuater it was the same type and size and now it wont blow the fuse but it not gettin power to actuater now

then it may be the switch in the transfer case, its a switch with a ball on the end. try bypassing it and see if you get power

ok there 3 wires that go in the top side of the hoghead and they have power goin in but none coming out . i was thinking bout tryin to but a switch on it with a light but the wires on actuater are the same color and not sure which would be the hot wire

Like mentioned,see if you have power at the switch on the t-case.
I repaired an 89 chevy that had the same problem,but the blower motor would stop working when the 4x4 quit as well.
Found they are on the same CKT and one of the wires had rubbed through shorting to ground at times.

put a switch across the wires that lead to the switch on the top of the transfer case
