| Engine Question Hi folks. i got an 89 chevy silverodo with a screwed 350 in it. and i was wondering if a 305 out of a 91 chevy caprice will line up to the existing motor mounts. if not is it alot of work to make it fit? thanks |

| Your best bet will be to take the mounts off the 350 in the truck and bolt them to the 305. That way it should easily slide right in, and guaranteed to fit. Good luck. |

| you won't be happy with the 305. not because of it's size but for the fact that it was a car engine. car and truck engines are set up different, you won't have the low end torque that truck needs.

| arent the oil pans and pump pick up different as well they will also have to be switched, the car and truck engines have different grinds on the cam it can be done but not worth putting a 305 in a truck.

| I believe the oil pan and pump are the same, so there shouldnt be any clearance issues. Yes, the cams are different, but so is the rest of the engine. The 305 wont perform like the 350, but it will keep his truck on the road. |
