 | Cruise Control Cruise control on my 2005 Silverado Z71, 5.3L, automatic (44K mi) seems too aggressive. When going up a moderately steep hill it kicks all the way down to 2nd gear, even if it was accelerating in 3rd. Does not seem to matter if I put it into tow mode. Is this something that can be adjusted? Bad module? Works fine when cruise control is not engaged, that is I can accelerate gradually up a hill in 3rd without kicking down into 2nd. I just bought it and it is a GM certified vehicle under warranty so I would like to figure this out. Thanks! |

 | some cruise controls can be set for either hard or soft control, check with the dealer about yours
