Starting Problem

hi there
this is my first time posting hope someone can help.
i have a 98 gmc with a v8 the truck will start when it is warm or parked in side but as soon as i park it out side in the cold it takes about 20 minutes of cranking to get it to fire after that it starts fine

welcome to the forum
have it scanned and check the reading on the temp switch when cold. sounds like its getting weak

that was fast thanks i'll give that a try and let u know it was a salvage hope to post pics of on going repair

sounds like the temp sensor to me too.

What engine & transmission is in it and how many miles are on the truck?

thanks for the help it was the temp switch starts fine now
