Interesting Story on GM Parts

I need a transfer Case switch for my K2500 and found one on RockAuto.com for $9.85. Being a Patriotic American I decided to buy locally from GM dealer to help out the cause. They wanted $54.35. I looked at the guy and said, "The Federal Government might bail you guys out but I sure ain't".

No wonder they are going broke.

i hate to tell you this but if you paid federal taxes this year, you are helping to bail them out. i can understand you trying to keep your money at home but if we want to inflate the price of everything so high, to heck with us.

if you want to do it the cheap way put in a $2.99 rocker switch and bypass the transfer case one

Had a 92, put the new ball switch in but there was age wear, so it didn't work all the time so the switch fixed it!

I recently had to put a new turn signal mechanism in my 78 GMC. That part was $54 dollar not bad I thought. When taking the clip off that holds the locking spoke in place it went flying never to be seen again.

Guess what the price of this little clip the size of a nickle was? $10.

My first thought was this thread.

GM parts

I just bought a 89 chevy 3500 ,put a distributor in it ...running great....the air filter housing was in the truck bed when I brought the truck home,,,,anyway,I went to put the housing over the throttle body amd realized that the hold down bolt was missing,,,I went down to the local GM store to order the part,,,no problem,,,$8.59 I happened to ask to make sure that the nut was included,,,,,,no,,,that would be another $3.00,,,and they ship out of different warehouses,,,,insane

Whats really funny is when the ceo's of the big three flew on much more expensive private jets to ask for there handouts instead of taking a regular flight. I say fire them all.
