96 Chev interior light on when cold

I live way up close to Santa's shack and when it gets to -30 C my interior lights come on by themselves and won't go out till the cab is warm. ???

Now that is weird I would think there is a problem in the delay relay that turns them on when you open the door

are you getting ice on the sensor? i had the opposite problem with my old chev... open the door and the dome light wouldnt come on cuz the sensor was frozen shut. maybe your problem is similar? cant hurt to check

Hi guys, well it so happens that my buddy has the same year truck and he says that the plastic on the dash and the door plastic shrinks in extreme cold thus pulling the door switch away from the door. Go figure!! Drilled a small hole in the plastic button and inserted a small screw to extend it, and voila.
