    Reading codes

I have a 94 chev silverado (454 cid) and was wondering how to read the codes
I know on my olds delta 88 that you jumper A and B terminals and count the flashes but my plugin on the truck does not have it marked which ones are A and B (any help)
Does any one have an idea as well as what the flashes would represent ( I found stuff for my olds but nothing for a silverado on the intenet)
please do not say to take to a shop and put on scanner as they charge big bucks for the same info if you jumper the scanner plug in and count flashes
    thanks in advance

You can go to Advance auto or autozone and they will scan it for free!

neither of those stores around here only in the U.S.?? or they dont have a website for us canadians
checked around and cheapest was $120 min charge to put on scanner
Canadian Tire used to do some of this but with the economy going strong they only do starters, batteries if you take them out of truck and bring into store to test them

here are codes for a 94' Chevy: (note a couple of them are probably missing I know this because the system will flash the code 12 if no codes are present and at the begining and end of the flash process)

remeber that a code 12 for example would be like morse code 1 long flash followed by 2 short flashes.

also that 94' may possibly have OBD-II which can't be jumped it requires a scantool
