if i do mechanical first, then i won't feel like doing body work when it's running.

Always do the mechanical first! saves getting upset when you damage the fresh body work.
Besides Mud by time you get to the body work it will need mechanical again

i'm not very good at keeping my own secrets so i've decided to let you all in on my little secret i've had for the last week. two of you all ready know and if the third one thinks really hard, he'll realize he knew that he didn't know.

grumpy is getting updated!!!
criticize or praise, it doesn't matter, comments from either side is what will keep me motivated

i picked up a 2001 5.3 yesterday after work and it's going to be his new heart. i paid a little over $750 for the engine, harness and brain. the harness will need to be modified/fixed but most likely won't be used since i just found out that the injector and coil wiring was cut off of the pass. side. the engine has 95,000 miles on it and i have started to tear it down tonight when i got home from work. it sure is cold outside tonight, anyways on to the pics.
