I still have the Olds Gas 350 in the 80 GMC 1/2 ton. And a 73 350 out of an El Co ready for a rebuild that I intend to put together for the 80 GMC and get rid of the Olds boat anchor. If it were an Olds 455 I may keep it. I did think of putting a Pontiac 455 in it. That would be a mind blower. I do beleive the motor pads are the same for Olds, Buick and Pontiac. I will have to go to the junk yard and get Chev motor pads to bolt in the frame to put the small block in. The trans is universal bell housing so that part is all good. I was just thinking, the intake you have may be a good candidate for this 73 350 when I do that project.

i just need a better angle grinder than the harbor freight one. got it at work right now to see if i can fix the armature. as for the intake. it has 2 inches of build-up on it, so i couldn't tell you what it is right now. the carb is oem from the looks of it though.

nothing wrong with ryobi, better than the harbor freight one. just found out today that home depot had a similar sale on their dewalt grinders too. i think it was a clearance sale and they're all gone now.

same thing here. i went up there a few days before and hid a couple behind some larger merchandise that had dust collected on it. when the sale time came, i went and dug them out.
