you've got all the support you need right here. Besides I can live with those two minor issues.

Your going to love that engine I wish I had a LS engine in my truck. Mud replace the oil ring that's on the back of the engine you can't miss the only sensor there replace with a Vintin O-Ring they tend to leak oil from there.

thanks for the links GMC.

on to todays progress. i spent most of my shift at work stripping and painting the valve covers along with cleaning the intake/throttle body. i will be blocking off the EGR valve and having it tuned out of the system. who needs emissions anyways, right?the valve covers turned out alright, i didn't feel like sanding out all the casting marks from the factory, so i wire wheeled them and threw on some low gloss paint. looks better than the unfinished aluminum anyways. on to the pics for tonight:

dirty vs. clean ~~~~~ dirty vs. stripped ~~~~ both stripped

~~~ 3 coats of primer, first coat of color ~~~~ 4 coats of color/no clear
~~~clean intake~~~~ clean intake/throttle body

please stayed tune, our next installment will be heads.
