Brad if you send me one make sure it's a big one or maybe one of those Zorbeez™ has the power to absorb up to 27 times greater than paper towels or any cotton cloth. Use it wet or dry with any cleaner and then just throw it in the wash. You cold blooded hey im just saying that some other forums that I have been on bad words are just like if nothing. OK here's the bad news I just got a call from my brother he said that he dropped a deer from the stand but he was waiting for that trophy buck to show up but it didn't so he got down from the stand went to see the deer and it wasn't there he has said that earlier he had seen a bobcat out there I said well the bobcat took it maybe there was blood from the deer but no deer.

yeah, those are the same ones i got from autozone. i don't know where my mind has been lately. i pulled my old ones out of the trash this morning and realized how stupid i was. i could have swore i pulled 5 long, 5 medium and 5 short out of each side of the engine. i'm taking a break from the build until i can get my mind straight, these long hours are messing with my mind. i ended up sleeping though half my class last night and the other half was spent eating my lunch/dinner. *flame suit on*

i think i finally picked out my cam. it's comp cams XR265HR or XR259HR. it should give me a decent idle without too much lope and good horsepower through out the power band to move the old beast down the road, along with enough torque to get it off the line.

here's a screenshot of a 500hp dyno run with the cam. i'm hoping with the cam, long tube headers and custom tune that i can get atleast 350hp at the wheels. as far as i know the 5.3 comes with 285hp out of the factory. i can't wait to do a couple of dyno runs at school with it. also, before anyone points it out, yes, i'm compareing apples to oranges here, but the screen shot was just to show where the cam makes its power.

now for the important question, anyone got $600 i can "borrow"?

here's your update for tonight. took the heads to work and cleaned them up earlier this week. i was also able to finally remove the pulley bolt from the crank. the factory specs are almost 40ftlbs and another 140* torque to yield. i had to chain the dang thing down to the engine stand and get a bigger/better breaker bar to get it loose. a few more parts and i'll have the whole engine in my bedroom.

holding off on the cam for now, nelson performance is having a good sale on ECM tuning that i can't refuse. almost $100 off a highly modified tune. now i only need $400 instead of $600.
