 |  1987 Chevy Silverado 350 tbi What would cause the Check Eng.light not to come on when the key is first turn on or when you try to retrieve codes ?? I check the bulb and it's fine, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated  tkx Jay |

 | are you getting power to the socket? take a light tester and check there first and check fuses

| welcome to the forum when checking the fuses make sure someone didn't remove it because the light was on
