 |  88 chevy 350 engine swap???? I've got an 88 chev cheyenne 2WD standard tranny, it has a 350 on board and is very tired, anybody know what year range of 350 are interchangeable with my engine, I am assuming no older than an 88????? but is there a limit to how new the replacement engine can be???? Thanks Ken.... |

| i think they are all fairly interchangable from the old l6's to 4.3's to big blocks. i think the newer ones have a 1 piece rear main seal but have a 2 bolt main |

| 88 and up will swap out of a truck for sure. Your truck has a 1 piece rear main seal. If you had an auto you could use anything but since its a man you will have to run a 1 piece |
