Exhaust system question

I've checked for an exhaust system for my truck which is V6 4.3L 262 Regular Cab Long Bed. The only thing I Could find is a Gibson exhaust. I checked flow master, but they only do swept out side for my truck. I want dual out the back, not swept out the side.

The question is, is gibson exhausy any good, i've never heard much about them. Can you give me other companies that are good.

spend the extra bit of money and buy the flowmasters, provided you want to stick with them, and take them to a shop and have them made to dump out the back. if you can weld a piece together, it is nothing at all to manufacture your own system. only problem you will encounter is bending the pipe.

I'd have to find a shop that can do it, I didn't wanna settle for anything less than a flow master, I have heard so many good things about them.

then dont settle for anything else. you might spend a little more but if that is what you want, stick with it. flowmaster sells a one in 2 out design. all you need is the pipe and someone to do it. depending on how many miles, you might also look into getting a cat back system and go ahead replace the cat since it is going to go eventually.

It has about 92700 miles on it. I thought the exhaust system replaces the cat. O well I might as well get some performance headers while im at it

Oh one more question, I just found out they don't make swept out the side for a 4.3l, but can I take a flowmaster dual out the back for a standard cab and short bed and have them extend the pipes to reach out the back for a long bed?

you can get systems that do not replace the cat also. a cat can last for 150K+ miles. mine is out and i have 115 on the ticker. i have seen them not last that long.
there is nothing wrong with that idea. dont know if dumping it out the back is exactly what you want but have seen people utilize turndowns.

If you can find an exhaust shop with the pipe and bender(which alot of them have,) you can provide the muffler and tell them what you want, and wallah!!!! custom exhaust, and its what you want. gonna cost a bit more cause you cant just clamp it on, but I went that route on my 93 s10, with a 4.3, and dumped dual behind the tires . I went 2 1/2 single into a delta 50 series, out dual 1.75 inch and I love it.... just check with the state laws on what you can have, and what you cant.... In my younger years I had to have a set of 12 inch bullets and megaphone tips cut of my 78 ford....... nothing like wasted money

When I called Flow Master Mufflers, this is what they told me, but how do I know how much piping I need and the right bends, and what muffler should I get?
