Welcome to the site: This is a decent question and I believe that we have had this discussion before. Dont get me wrong, I am not criticizing the question. Only stating that this is always an interesting topic. The C designation is the identifier for the 2wd pick up truck. C-10, C20, C30, would all be 1/2 ton 3/4 ton and 1 ton respectfully. The K designation is the identifier for 4wd class pick ups. Again the 10, 20, and 30 designations apply to the vehicle weight ratings. Now the interesting part is that the one vehicle that throws this for a loop is the K5 (Blazer), this K5 should be designated as a 4wd 1/2 ton, since the option of 3/4 ton or greater was not possible, but the tricky part is that the K5 was available as a 2wd, and still had the "K" designation. At any rate, the rule is "C" for 2wd, and "K" for 4wd.

depending on the year, it could be a 1500, 2500, or 3500 series. which is the same as the 10, 20, and 30 series trucks.

meant to say earlier too, do not think any question is a dumb question. there are only those that are not asked in which people cannot learn from. there are really no such thing as dumb answers either. just dumb ideas.
