Okay I need help asap. Well Im trying to take the panel off on the driver side, but I cant get the window roller off, I dont have power windows ^.^ And also, the latch that locks the door close is not working its in the closed position, so when I try to close the door it just bounces off. How do I reset it?

What are you working on???? Most manual window levers have a clip on the backside of the handle. It can be removed with a special tool, or a small pick set can be used if you can push the door panel in far enough to remove the clip. For your door latch, the latch is closed, and you will have to use a screwdriver to place pressure on the latch just like the striker would, and release the latch with the working handle at the same time. The hook shaped latch will pop open and will once again work like normal. So you have to open the door completely, and lift the door lever, or pull it or do anything just like you were openeing the door. If the outside handle is busted, then use the inside one. If the insideone is broken, then use the outside handle. Make sure the door is unlocked and once you pull the handle, and apply some pressure to the latch itself, it will open, and your door will work again. It is closed right now, and is hitting the striker.

![]() The actual clip looks like the greek letter "Omega" and can be easy as pie to remove, but for the first timer can be a real hassle. Even with the tool it can be frusterating. I cant find a pic of one as this rarely comes up, but here is a suggestion. If your local auto parts store is not too far, you can run down and buy the tool. Good excuse to buy a new tool. The store will have door handles and replacement clips. By the way, buy a spare clip at this point. Later you will see why. Look at how the clip fits the window crank handle and see how the tool fits. If you have the handle in your hands, it takes the guesswork and magic out of this process. Then with your new tool and new clip, you can remove your door panel. You will probably lose the original clip during the removal process, so by buying the replacement ahead of time, you will save some time and you can keep your sanity. This is first hand experience here.
