But I have also been looking into the Big block chevy crate motors. you know, 502 and bigger..... them are pricey

DUDE THE mightyMAX is practically brand new YOU HAVE TO DO THIS...I LEAVE YOU NO OTHER OPTION, well ok a 454 is permissable only because i have one...lol... GET THE DURAMAX... forget the 8.1, put some balls inbetween the frame of that beast.

I got a chance to go get my truck tonight after work, and got a few pictures, and have a bunch of **** to pull out of it before I can get it. he didn't tell me he uses it for storage. I'll post them just as soon as I can get home and to my computer... had to visit the inlaws....

I wasn't able to get a good picture of the back axle, but it looks a bit odd to be a ford 9 inch, but it does have a front access to the diff, and no back plate. Could this be an Eaton rearend as you talked about 75?
Other than that, the interior is in good shape, with a few dings and rust showing up in the panels, and the original hood missing.... but all in all, Im happy with my 300$ well wasted....

bars in back are going to be pulled out and sent in for powdercoating...... no price is high enough to get them
and last time I knew the rest of the k5 was sitting on 12 inches of lift terrorizing the streets of grand junction, CO
