Spray in bedliner reviews wanted...

I'm going to get my bed & rails done. And I'm also going to be getting the rocker panels sprayed as well. (Hopefully they will do the cab corners too..)

Well I got price quotes from 3 places with different brand coatings.

Viper Liner: $800 installed

Vortec Liner: $775 installed

Line X Liner: $800 installed

For the Vortec Liner the turn around is about 4 hours start to finish. The Line X people said it would be like 4 to 6 hours.

I've never heard of the Viper or Vortec Liners before a week ago. I thought it was just Line X and Rhino Liner. All 3 have Lifetime guarentees. The Vortec can be sprayed in a bunch of different colors for about $150 more. I figured I'd just go with black since its kind of universal.

I'd appreciate your comments or thoughts on these liners. I don't mind spending the extra $25 to get a better quality liner if you know what I mean.

-Mike

Might want to search for mudseeker's old threads on bed liners and the fun he had with them...

I like the rebel liner they have around here (NY). don't know what was used I'm my truck (done in Vermont) but I find its hard to clean. You may want to look at a few that were done a year or two ago and see how they are doing

Yeah I read Mud's thread about Herculiner junk. I definately won't do that. I suppose a good question to ask these people is, how thick is the coating going to be? Should be a good factor about durability of it.

It's not so much the thickness but the texture of the material, it is holding up but just a pain to clean. I have to use a hose cause a broom is useless

its too gritty to make cleaning easy. its going to grab hold of junk. but they were iontended for work trucks where people really arent going to care if they're clean or not. theres several types of bedliner out there that are a rubber-ish material, i just feel like these will eventually deteoriate from wear and tear, i've never seen line-x peel or anything. you can probably tell them the thickness u want it

I prefer Rhino spray in bed liners. the bed is sprayed 1/4 thick and the rest is 1/8 on my trucks. they look good and I maintain them with Rhino Shine. I am sure there are many other good ones also.

I had Line x spray the floors on my sand rail. It has been in their for 4 years and still looks new. It has stood up to brake fluid. It has also been easy to clean. It is about 1/4 thick on my panels. Only wish it was in my truck bed to.

Line X even has for a certain charge a no fade warranty you might get that I was looking at this shop for my truck but I might end up paying more in the long run.
