| 1999 k2500 abs problem On my 1999 k2500 with the 7.4 my abs is coming activating on dry pavement. Seems to do it more often on turning/braking combo. I have check brake fluid and power steering fluid. My scanner dose not seem to bring up anything for abs. Actron 9150. Any info would be wonderful. The truck has 170000 miles. |

| One thing to keep in mind is that an ABS light can show activation (use), not just failure. I would suggest inspecting the brakes to see that the basics are good. ABS activates when it sees a mismatch for wheel speeds/braking apply. You didn't mention speed this happened at. One thing that can cause low speed (< 5mph) light is rusty sensor mounting area. Somewhere in another thread I was trying to remember the test value of those. I put it here only because I remember it right now. If you unplug those front wheel sensors and spin the wheel by hand, you should get about 350mV AC across its wires. If 200-350, too big a gap between sensor and the reluctor ring may exist due to crud. Clean & retest. |

| I is happening at low speed. IE at a stop light, turning into the driveway. ABS light comes on goes out. Front brakes have about 30k on them but don't look bad yet. I don't go through brakes to fast, I don't go from gas to break. It is legal to coast up to a stop. (The other half at the house kills a set every 15k, I don't even like to ride with her). Thanks for the tips I will look at them this weekend with any luck. |

| If it hasn't been done lately, you may want to consider flushing the lines with new fluid and change the rubber hoses on the front, abs may be sensing sluggish fluid flow
