O2 Sensors

If i were to delete my cats the check engine light will come on. I have heard that there is a way to delete them without the check engine light coming on. Does anyone know how this is done?

There was a thread here about that about a year ago. If I remember right you wire a resistor in the circuit to replace the sensor. There is a company makes the kit but I can`t remember the name. I also seem to remember you can make your own for around $12.00.
You could try a search of this forum for the thread.

Just an update. If you search for "oxygen sensor eliminate" on ebay you may come up with what you want.

Resistor seemed like a workable idea when I first looked at it.
Sensor resistance is maybe 3-4 ohms when cold, around 70deg,
and when warm/normal is around 14 ohms. That resistance
changes with the o2 level and changes the voltage you would
see going to the PCM. If the "normal" voltage was 0.5v,
rich might push it to 0.7v, and lean to 0.2v. There is a hook
though, the PCM keeps playing with mixes and so expects to see
changes at the sensor. If it does not, it will think the sensor is
broken. Could go into open loop in 15 secs and set code in a minute.
If I was going this route, I would put an ocillator on the plug
so the PCM never thought the sensor dead. Sorry, but there is
no way I'm going to say how to do that here, way to complicated
to explain even if easy to do. Therefor I suggest a "kit" approach.
Some folks just put tape on the light. Look around at threads,
plenty of folks have done this eliminate thing. Good luck.
