"CV"-Axle Shaft Question

I have a '94 full size Blazer which is used for plowing. It may be time to change them as well with the the wheel bearing assemble. Does anyone know of a good source to find "American Made" componets rather that the Chinese junk?

my BIL bought his from NAPA. knowing how he drives and them still being on the truck, get them there. if they stand up to him, they will serve you well.

Called NAPA & the reman price is not bad @ $66.29. However the bearing assy's were $270 for the moderate and $379 for the better. I **** near fell off the chair!

whats wrong with the hub assemblies?? if you are having a CV issue, just replace those. 270 might seem like alot but look at all that you are getting. bearing, hub, all the abs junk that is there. no sense in replacing something that you dont have to.

MI0706 is an unknown quantity at this point
I have a 92 Full Size Blazer and am getting ready to change both of my front shafts. I second getting them from NAPA or you can try Rock Auto (on-line). They do sell quality parts and usually is a little bit cheaper than local stores (with shipping).

As for the hubs, I also second not changing them if they aren't broke.

Thanks for all the replys. I bought everything from NAPA but ran into a problem. On the spindle end of the shaft the take outs had a wear collar that married into the spindle plate (attaches to the ball joints) which houses a seal. Napa sent me the seals but do not "seat" onto the shafts. NAPA is having a hard time trying to locate the wear collar. Could use some help with this.
Thanks
