1949 Chevy truck split rim wheels

1949 Chevy 1 ton panel truck 3800

Because of the danger, I am trying to eliminate the split rims on my truck. where can I find 17 " 8 lug wheels?

I can remember throwing on some rims of a new chevy (05) on my 3600 and they fit, you could just get some newer ones, unless your trying to keep the "original" look, I would fire cooker tires and e-mail and see if they sell or know were a guy could get some one-peice original replicated rims.

I remember working on those wheels when I had a part time job while I was in high school I hated them especially when it came to airing them up the smaller the rim the harder they were to work on.

I hate split rims........ I have 3 trucks at work that still run them...... and I am finding new rims for them soon. anyway, are you wanting chrome or aluminium or just steel?
