smile's project truck

I have a 98 Chevy w/t 1500 fleet side long bed. It has dents in the bed like crazy haha. It's also RWD and has 93k miles. I know it hasn't been beat on because it was my dads.

Do you think I should work on it and tune it up???

Or would it look stupid?

You might find a good used box for a decent price, if looks bother you. What do you mean by tune it up? maintanence? or appearance goodies?

Appearence, exhaust, CIA, Repaint the whole thing, new nice tail lights and head lights.

My dad said it would look stupid since it's a work truck.

Go for it man! I wish i had a 2wd. Lower it and tuck some big wheels into the body. I ALWAYS wanted to do a low riding truck project. One thing to make sure of......make sure the thing is not half rotten yet. I live very close to you, in Murrysville, and I know how much salt they use on the roads out here. It really takes a toll on older vehicles if proper precautions are not taken.

Well my truck has no rust or no paint chips, it was sitting in my driveway for 4 or 5 years when i moved here. just the banging from idiots in my family, i just want to return the favor to my truck :-) I love my truck, but I dont know anything about customizing. Nah im not gonna lower it, and im not selling it, it has more value to me then to anywhere else.

And if the engine goes, im dropping a v8 in it :-)

I will get some pics for you guys tomorrow.
