Subject: HVAC Blower Motor Runs After Vehicle is Turned Off
Model: 2002-2004 Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, TrailBlazer
2002-2004 GMC Envoy, Sierra, Yukon
with Manual Control HVAC

Condition
Some customers may comment that the HVAC blower motor continues to run after the vehicle has been turned off.
Description
The source of the customer complaint may be a stuck HVAC blower motor relay or linear power module (LPM).
Procedure
If the vehicle’s HVAC blower motor circuit uses a relay, the relay may stick in the "on" position. When the HVAC blower relay has been energized, the contacts may "micro-weld’ together. After this occurs, the HVAC blower motor motor may not respond to the HVAC control commands.
For vehicles that use a LPM, the root cause is an internal failure within LPM.
In the situation where either the relay or LPM may be the source of the complaint, the failed part must be replaced.
After component replacement, confirm that the customer’s concern has been corrected

Drawing I have shows it in the "blower Motor Resistor Assm"
Some have the impression that the newer parts make the blower
spin a bit faster on all speeds. Just a note.
