| 95 Z71 Tire Help Hey, new member here....Hoping you guys can help out. I have a 95 z71 1500, on which I put the stock wheels and tires off an '06 z71. The tires are a 265/70/17 which is close to 31x10.5. Have had no problems of rubbing or clearance. I would like to go up to a 295/70/17, 33x11.5, but not sure if there is enough clearance. I have seen numerous answers from guys on older threads about max tire size on a stock 1500. I was hoping someone would know for sure or hopefully have tried that 295 size already. Any help would be great.....Thanks alot |

| it looks like they will fit. i compared it to a 285/75/16 and they're not much larger. U.S And Metric Tire Size Information Calculator

| Thats what I've been finding too. Looking at these older posts with people asking about 15 and 16" rims, It looked like the 295 for the 17" wheel was still pretty close to some of those others. I still would like to find someone who has put them on and knows for sure, but thanks for the input. I feel better knowing someone else agrees that they should fit. If nothing else I've got someone to blame it on if they dont fit, right?? |

| I have an 01 Z71 that I just put 285 BFG's on and they fit like a glove. I would not go any bigger though, Im told cranking up torsion bars can wear front end parts too. |

| i'm not a fan of cranking torsion bars. i'm not positive what size you can go to on your z... i can see whats on my 96 silvy, but its 2wd so probably a little smaller

| in my thoughts i think that the 295's are going to be to big to turn all the way around without rubbing. i have a 79 chevy 1500 with 285/75/r16's and i put these tires on before i put a four in. lift on it. had no problems. but |
